a non-profit association which manages and shares a 130m\u00b2 premises (ground floor + basement) at 12 rue des fr\u00e8res Mercier in Besan\u00e7on. <\/span>is the continuation (in a slightly different way) of the association SPAM (2014-2019)<\/em> which was located at 17 rue de l'\u00e9cole.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Committed, self-managed, self-financed multi-use premises
\n<\/strong>exchanges, meetings, mutual aid, DIY<\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/b><\/span> different activities and workshops<\/strong> which vary according to the moment and the proposals: repair of objects, musical improvisation, drawing, Russian lessons, drag workshop, conversation in English, political thematic discussion...<\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/b> <\/span>of the events<\/strong> : concert, show, film screening, shared meal, flea market, debate, dart tournament\u2026<\/p>\n

\u00d7 <\/span><\/b><\/span>a thrift shop<\/strong> with abandoned clothes and objects that are resold at low prices. A consignment store for decoration, food, clothing and accessories artisans.<\/p>\n

\u00d7 <\/strong><\/span>an area cafe\/lounge<\/strong> where to sit and chat with the people present, drink coffee\/tea\/syrup, read a book, play games. <\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/span><\/b> a place of permanence\/meeting<\/strong>\/other activities for friendly associations and collectives.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/b><\/span> L'self management<\/strong> : no hierarchy, decisions made together, everyone can get involved in their own way while being responsible and respectful of others and the place. We are all volunteers \ud83d\ude42 To get involved in the collective, just come to a monthly meeting, on the 23rd of each month at noon.<\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/b><\/span> Access to workshops and events is generally at free\/recommended price<\/strong>. It is also possible to participate by exchanging services or helping SCOPS. We have rent and utilities to pay, but we want to make our activities accessible to all budgets!<\/p>\n

\u00d7 <\/span><\/b><\/span> The thrift store finances part of the rent<\/strong> while advocating recycling \ud83d\ude42 Our other income is memberships, sales during events and participation from associations\/collectives who use the place. The financial participation of associations\/collectives depends on the duration of occupation of the premises and the rooms used.<\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/b><\/span>  We welcome people of all ages, from all backgrounds, without discrimination based on skin color, gender, sexual orientation, food choice (vegan option always available during events!), work or non-work\u2026<\/p>\n

Membership<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/b><\/span> Members can participate in and suggest activities, consume drinks, buy what is on sale, and participate in meetings. Price<\/em> for one year:<\/em> \u20ac5 or \u20ac1 solidarity rate, or \u20ac15 to support the association.<\/p>\n

\u00d7<\/span><\/b><\/span>  Volunteers are members who decide to get involved in the organization of activities and the functioning of the association. SCOPS is declared under the collegial mode of operation. <\/b><\/p>\n

Hey, but actually, what does \u201cSCOPS\u201d mean?<\/span>
\n<\/em>We can simply see it as a fun word to pronounce, we can look for acronyms for it (Syndicat CoOp\u00e9ritif et Participatif de la Sape, Cucumber Sandwich Olive Pepper Salad, etc.), we can see a reference to a little owl<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n
